The floor

The floor in four numbers

The resort floor holds 343 slot machines, 16 VLTs, ten live tables and eight poker tables. Gaming takes up 38,000 square feet of a building that is also a hotel with 241 rooms and suites. The 16 VLTs sit apart from the slots, in a salon reserved for video lottery terminals. On the floor plan, each of these machines and tables is one dot.

Only one position on the floor is published. The Casino Restaurant stands in the middle and cooks Western and Asian food. Every other zone on our plan is grouped by game, not drawn where it really stands. O'Chiese First Nation owns and operates the resort and its casino.

How the plan is drawn

A white architectural scale model of a casino floor seen from above at an angle: rows of tiny slot cabinets, a walled room of machines, ten small green-felt tables, a room of eight oval tables and a round restaurant in the middle.
Generated scene, not a photograph of either casino.

Machine titles and machine hours

Four slot titles carry the featured tag: Alberta Gold, House of Dragon, Lightning Link and Magic Treasures. Monday through Thursday, the slots run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. On Friday they start at 9 a.m. and stay on around the clock until 3 a.m. on Monday.

VLT play keeps a different schedule. From Sunday through Thursday the salon runs 9:30 a.m. to 3 a.m., and on Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. The VLT Lounge serves drinks and light snacks beside the terminals from 10 a.m. until midnight every day. Holiday hours go to the casino line, 403-342-5825.

Every machine, counted

Four games, ten tables

Ten live tables form the main pit, and four games are dealt on them. EZ Baccarat is dealt with no house commission and carries two side bets, Dragon and Panda. Every blackjack table takes a Perfect Pair side bet, and Lucky Lucky is offered as a second. In Ultimate Texas Hold'em the player plays against the dealer's hand, with a Trips bet beside the main wager. Roulette is played on a wheel with 38 numbers.

The pit opens at 2 p.m. every day. It closes at 1 a.m. on Sunday through Wednesday nights and at 2 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Table minimums are not published, and neither is a dress code. Chase the Flush, a seven-card stud game, is no longer dealt.

Poker

Eight tables of cash games

The poker room on the resort floor has eight tables, and it deals cash games. Cash games start at 2 p.m. every day. The posted closing hour is 1 a.m. from Sunday to Wednesday and 2 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday.

Stakes are not published, and neither is the way onto a waiting list. Questions about late play, open seats and which games are running go to the poker room line, extension 3 at 403-342-5825.

Guests must be 18 or older to go onto the casino floor, and minors are not served in the Casino Restaurant. Staff ask for valid government photo ID from anyone who looks younger than 25. The list of ID accepted at the floor entrance is not published. Hotel and casino guests park at no charge, and security staff patrol the parking area.

How online gaming is run in Alberta

Alberta opened a regulated online gaming market on July 13, 2026. AGLC regulates it, and the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) manages it. Operators register with AGLC and sign an agreement with AiGC; 22 registered sites were approved for the opening. Each registered operator must allow play only by people physically in Alberta.

Registered sites are listed in the AiGC directory at abigaming.ca, and approved operators show the AiGC logo. A site missing from that directory is not regulated in Alberta. AGLC also operates PlayAlberta.ca for the province, and what it earns goes to the Government of Alberta.
